Job Fair at Coast Coliseum

Veterans, students, recent graduates, and anyone just looking for employment made it out to the job fair today at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center.

Many vendors set up and filled the room, ready to help job seekers take the next step in their careers. Put on by Unemployment Eliminators, people came dressed for success with their resumes in hand. They spoke with representatives from companies such as Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Navy Federal Credit Union, and military branches.

Nineteen-year-old Mylia Quinn from Gulfport says she went to the job fair expecting to just learn about a few job openings, but instead came out with a new, unexpected career goal. “Before I came in here, I would never thought to even wanting to join the police force, but when he explained it to me and everything that they do, I’m open to it now and really considering joining. This gives you an opportunity to see what’s really open out there for you in the different jobs and careers.”

Unemployment Eliminators offers job fairs free and open to the public providing more than 1,500 job openings.
