Jim Simpson Pier reopens in Long Beach
LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- A Long Beach repair project is finally completed years after being damaged by Hurricane Zeta.
Construction work started a year ago after Harrison County and FEMA agreed to the cost and design of the new pier.
It features decking that is more resilient to storms and severe weather, as well as brand new pilings and a canopy at the end of the pier.
