Jeramey Anderson Addresses His Voters in First Address
Jeramey Anderson is now the youngest member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, and Tuesday night, he addressed the people who voted for him for the first time. The public and local government was invited to the address Tuesday evening and were encouraged to voice their opinions on a variety of issues. Dobbs Dennis, the "Morning Menace" on 1580 WPMO and 1440 WVGG talk radio, says, "We would like to see some more action on bridges and infrastructure as well, but education is the priority."
Wayne Lennup, Moss Point City Councilman for Ward 6, says, "You can’t have the infrastructure and the other improvements you need without revenues, so that is very important. We need more industrial and economic development here in Moss Point."
Tuesday night’s address will not only make Representative Anderson more aware of the issues facing his district, but it’s also a big first step in what he hopes will be a long and lucrative political career. Anderson, also says, "Of course we want to end up in the White House. I think that is the goal, or I hope it’s the goal for most young politicians, and we’re just going to play that step by step and improve every step that we go and make sure the people we represent are satisfied, that’s most important."
When asked what the most important issue facing his district is, he doesn’t hesitate with his answer: "If we really focus on our education, we can really solve a lot of issues that are facing our state. It all revolves around education, from economics to job creation, because we see a lot of people that want to come and invest in Mississippi, but we don’t have the workforce to give them."
Anderson is ready to head up to Jackson to fight for Mississippi.
