Jeepin the Coast collects supplies for Hurricane Ida relief efforts

WXXV and Jeepin the Coast wrapped up the Love for Louisiana supply drive for Hurricane Ida victims this Saturday.

The team began collecting supplies for the drive on Monday. These supplies included water, cleaning supplies, baby products, and nonperishable food items.

The Jeepin team then collected all of the supplies from the WXXV station on Saturday into a trailer. They then personally drove the supplies to Louisiana to bring to people in need.

The Jeepin the Coast team has hosted several supply drives for hurricane victims.  Jeepin the Coast President Jennifer Moran said, “The Mississippi Gulf Coast is huge at giving back, and we know what it’s like so, you know what, we’re always ready to give a helping hand. About a year ago when Pensacola got hit, we did the same thing. It was pouring down raining that day and it was a steady rain all day long. We filled up this trailer and took everything over to Pensacola.”

Jeepin the Coast and WXXV would like to thank First Federal Savings and Loans, Bayou Concrete Headquarters, Mattina Insurance Agency, and the Biloxi Shuckers for helping with the drive.
