JCSD investigating fatal one-car accident
Jackson County Sheriff’s traffic deputies are investigating a one-vehicle that happened at 3:30 Wednesday afternoon, October 4, that killed a Vancleave resident.
Sheriff John Ledbetter says 20-year-old Samantha Byrd was driving alone in a Toyota Avalon, south on Old River Road.
He says Byrd ran off the road and hit a tree.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
