Jazz Fest expands to eight days for 2024 festival

The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival will expand to eight days in 2024, adding Thursday to the first weekend of music at the New Orleans Fairgrounds.

Jazz Fest officials announced the expanded schedule today on its website.

The dates are April 25 to April 28 and May 2 to May 5.

More than 5,000 musical acts across 14 stages will perform during the eight-day festival now in its 53rd year. In addition, crafts, memorabilia and food are sold on site by vendors who have become staples as much as the musicians.

The music festival draws about 500,000 people annually to New Orleans.
