JA’NAYA THOMPSON’S KILLER PLEADS GUILTY

​Gulfport Police Cheif Leonoard Papania announces Alberto Garcia has plead guilty to capital murder in the death of then five year old Ja’naya Thompson.

Garcia originally plead not guilty in October of 2015, but has since changed his plea.

Ja’naya Thompson disappeared from the Palms Apartments in July of 2014.  Her body was found in a vacant mobile home nearby the next day.

Garcia faces either life without parole or the death penalty.
