“Who is James Meredith” documentary

Civil Rights trailblazer and icon James Meredith is on the Coast tonight for the release of his documentary “Who is James Meredith?” at this year’s Indie Fan Film Fest International created by his wife Dr. Judy Meredith.

James Meredith integrated Ole Miss in 1962 with federal force behind him at the “Battle of Oxford.” Meredith says he’s excited to see his own history through the eyes of others. “When I was at Ole Miss they talked about doing a film. That was 57 years ago or something like that and ain’t no film been done yet. Hope I get a chance to see it tonight because I haven’t seen it yet and guess what? I am really interested in who James Meredith is.”

Meredith participated in a diversity panel discussion earlier today. The film festival will continue through the weekend at the Palace Casino Resort. For film times visit indiefanfilmfest.com.
