Jackson-George Regional Library System reopened to the public

All branch libraries of the Jackson-George Regional Library System are open to the public as of yesterday.

After being virtual since March, the branch libraries are operating, but with some restrictions. Library services will be offered by appointment only and mandatory masks and social distancing will be required when entering the facility.

Staff members are also taking measures to ensure library safety by having a quarantine room. The room involves the sanitizing of resources that have been used or touched by patrons.

Staff members are excited to be open to the public once again. Jackson-George Regional Library System Director Lori Barnes said, “And we’re just dependable. We are here to serve all kinds of needs in our communities. Our constituency here in Jackson-George County depends on us for that. So to be able to take a step in the direction of re-opening fully is a really great thing.”

The staff of Jackson-George Regional Library System is asking that you call your library branch to schedule an appointment.
