Jackson County twins drown
There are dozens of ponds like the one on Jim Ramsey Road where families can fish or spend an afternoon. Sadly, two year old twins Mason and Madden Bang, drowned Friday night in a pond at a neighbor’s home.
“I just can’t imagine going through what that family is going through. It’s terrible…I wouldn’t want to wake up tomorrow.”
Today, Sheriff Mike Ezell told News 25 this appears to be a tragic accident, but the evidence will be presented to a Jackson County Grand Jury following the investigation.
“The deputies arrived and immediately began performing CPR, they were soon transported to Ocean Springs Hospital and later pronounced dead,” said Ezell.
Jackson County already has an ordinance that requires fences built around residential swimming pools, but some Vancleave residents feel it would defeat the purpose of living in the country.
