Jackson County supervisors meet about improvements
Exciting things are ahead for Jackson County.
The board of supervisors met this morning, touching on new developments in the county. Jackson County has several major road projects in the works that aim to create safer roadways and encourage commercial development.
Facility improvements include a library expansion, the airport expansion, a new emergency operations center, and a new animal shelter.
Jackson County Administrator Brian Fulton says there will also be some recreational projects coming up. “We have a lot of recreation opportunities in Jackson County, also, we’re expanding the soccer complex on Lemoyne Blvd. We have two soccer fields there now; we’re adding two more. That park has a lot of features in it, it will have a dog park. Lots of parking, lots of playground equipment for kids.”
Other projects include watershed management plans, boat launches, and improved bridges.
