Jackson County Sheriff’s Department to open new substation

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department is opening a new substation in Hurley.

It’s located on Highway 613 across from the golf course. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 1:30 tomorrow afternoon.

Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell will be there along with county supervisors.

Sheriff Ezell says the substation was added to better serve a growing area of the county and have a more visible presence there.
