Jackson County Sheriff to speak on neighborhood watch
For the past couple of months, Jackson County has been the scene of a variety of crimes, from shootings, a rash of burglaries, and murders. In an effort to eliminate crime, Sheriff Mike Ezell is visiting cities throughout Jackson County to promote the new neighborhood watch program.
Tonight, Ezell stopped in St. Martin.
Ezell says the Sheriff’s Department needs the help of Jackson County communities to help solve cases such as missing 16 year old Destiny McLemore who has not returned home since March 20th. Ezell says the department is doing everything they can to being her home.
“You have to follow up leads, you make phone calls, you go to where her hangouts are, try to get a tip here and there so that we can get her home. That’s the bottom line. We want to get her home because you know she’s sixteen years old,” said Sheriff Ezell.
Sheriff Ezell also said Destiny was spotted in Mobile last night. If you have any information regarding her whereabouts, call the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department at 228-769-3063.
