Jackson County School District releases back to school plan

The Jackson County School District has released its plans relating to COVID-19 for the upcoming school year.

As some districts begin to implement mask mandates, Jackson County schools will not be under a mandate for the start of the year. Mask wearing will be optional for students and staff.

Additionally, there is no vaccine mandate for staff members or of-age students.

Students will also follow a traditional school schedule as close as possible to normal with sanitizing stations and procedures in schools and other facilities, along with ongoing monitoring.

Teachers return to work on Monday, August 2nd while students return to school on August 5th.
