Jackson County School Board meets to discuss facility upgrades

The Jackson County School District is going back to the drawing board on potential facility upgrades after voters rejected a bond proposal earlier this year.

The Jackson County School Board held a facility workshop this week to talk about future plans for its aging school buildings.

Since the bond vote failed, district leaders have created a master facility plan to address the needs of schools and they are seeking input from board members and parents.

At the workshop, officials discussed the financial status of the district as well as proposed projects and the potential need to make changes to the master plan in the months and years ahead.
