Jackson County pays tributes to veterans at annual Veterans Day program

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Jackson County hosted its annual Veterans Day program Tuesday morning.

The event is usually held at Veterans Memorial Park, but due to the cooler temperatures the event was moved inside to the Pelican Landing Event and Conference Center.

The event honored the brave men and women of the U.S Armed Forces who have served our nation.

The ceremony featured a musical salute and patriotic music, a presentation of a wreath to honor fallen veterans, the playing of Taps, and recognition of local veterans and military families.

This year’s keynote speaker was Captain Harry Marsh.  The program was free and open to the public.
