Jackson County man sentenced for possessing images of child sexual abuse
A Vancleave man pleads guilty to exploitation of a child in Jackson County circuit court.
According to Assistant District Attorney Carolyn Lewis, In April of 2022, investigators were made aware of sexual images of a child being uploaded to the dark web. Investigators developed 47-year-old Kippy Anthony Ladnier Jr. as a suspect, leading to a search of his Vancleave residence.
During the search, investigators found sexually explicit photographs of a five-year-old on his computer hard drive.
Ladnier was charged and prosecuted in Jackson County for possessing the images. It was determined that the images were produced and uploaded to the web in Harrison County. Ladnier was also prosecuted for those crimes in Harrison County.
He was sentenced to 40 years with 28 to serve in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. The remaining 12 years to be suspended and served on post-release supervision.
Due to the nature of the crime, the 28-year sentence must be served day for day without the hope of early release.
Upon his release, Ladner must register as a sexual offender for the rest of his life.
