Jackson County Fire Protection Team fights garage fire on Sunday evening
St. Martin, Miss. (WXXV)- The Jackson County Fire Protection team fought a fire over the weekend.
Crews responded to a reported garage fire on Bayou Pines Drive in the St. Martin area Sunday evening. Crews arriving to find a two-story detached garage with heavy smoke and fire showing from the front corner.
Firefighters sprang into action and advanced to the second floor, the fire being brought under control a short time later.
Overhaul was completed and crews assisted the homeowner with moving a deep freezer to help preserve their groceries.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. The call came in around 5:40 Sunday evening.
