Jackson County Fair Begins in Pascagoula

The 95th annual Jackson County Fair in Pascagoula is now in full swing.
Even before the rides opened up, families were checking out the fairgrounds in Pascagoula this afternoon.
The Jackson County Fair is eight straight days of fun, rides and of fair food favorites like funnel cakes and elephant ears.
The county fair is the largest free admission fair along the coast.
News 25 spoke with some kids at the fair who were eager for the rides to start rolling. Jackson Country resident Shayleigh Cotton said, “My favorite ride is the Drop Zone and I like coming to the fair because of the rides.”
Pascagoula resident Carlos Monette said, “You see a lot of food stands, a lot of rides and a lot of people that just want to have fun.”
Arts, crafts, live music and contests are also a hit at this year’s county fair. The fair will be on the Coast until October 23rd.
