Jackson County Exceptional School hosts second annual Job Extravaganza

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)- Students with disabilities got a hands-on preview of their future at the second annual Job Extravaganza on Wednesday in Jackson County.

The Arc of Singing River partnered with the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services to host the event at the Jackson County Exceptional School.

About 75 students with disabilities attended from ages 14 to 21. Local high schools were able to explore different career opportunities through interactive job skill stations.

Organizers say experiences like this help build confidence and prepare students for success in the workforce.
