Jackson County deputies arrest suspect after stolen vehicle stop ends in foot chase

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a man that ran from deputies during a traffic stop Friday.
Warrants have been issued for 27-year-old Andrew Hebert of Vancleave for receiving stolen property and felony fleeing.
Investigators say Hebert ran into an area on Old Fort Bayou Road around 10 a.m. after deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle he was driving.
On Friday, Jackson County investigators located and arrested Hebert near the intersection of North 11th Street and Edgewater Street.
During the investigation, investigators recovered the stolen truck along with additional evidence related to the reported offenses.
In addition to the previously obtained warrants, Hebert has been charged with three counts of auto burglary and one count of motor vehicle theft.
The investigation is ongoing.
