Jackson County continuing to provide sand bags to residents

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Jackson County Office of Emergency Service is updating the public that sandbags will continue to be provided for residents.

Those locations include:

  • Jackson County Fire Station 23 in Moss Point
  • East Division Roads Department in Moss Point
  • Jackson County Fire Station 21 in Moss Point

Sand will be provided until further notice. The office says river levels remain elevated across portions of the county.

The sand is being provided to help residents and business owners protect homes and property from any potential flooding.

Residents are also encouraged to continue monitoring river conditions and forecast information.
