Jackson County celebrates 213th birthday
One of our Coastal counties just recently celebrated a birthday!
It was on December 18, 1812 that Jackson County was established by the legislature of the Mississippi territory.
From the county’s humble beginnings, it has grown today to become the fifth-largest county in the state in terms of population.
From Ocean Springs to Moss Point and everywhere in between, Jackson County is home to major industry and a place to rest and relax for so many.
