Jackson Co. Fair Brings Rides, Food, & Fun

The Jackson County Fair is in full swing down in Pascagoula. All rides and games are now set up for the tens of thousands of guests who will come through the gates this week.

There are swings, funnel cake, and fun houses, everything you need for a great fair. The one thing that makes this fair unique is the local churches and vendors who serve mouth-watering food. Norma Nelson, owner of D’Vine Soul Food, now has a loyal following of fair-goers that come to eat her famous turkey legs every year.

Nelson says, “Well I’ve been coming out to the fair about five or six years and I have a good base right now, you know, repeat people that come and they say, ‘Oh I’ve been waiting a whole year just to get some of this here food.’”

News 25 will bring you more sights and sounds from the fair throughout the week. Tuesday is family night, starting at 4 p.m. with reduced ride prices. Be sure to check out everything the fair has to offer.
