Italian Open ready to tee off at Pass Christian Isles

If a giant meatball getting destroyed by a golf club is right up your alley, or fairway, then the Italian Open might just be the event for you.

On Saturday, Pass Christian Isles Golf Club is hosting its 48th annual home tournament, featuring at least 180 amateur golfers from near and far.

PCI is now the oldest golf course on the Coast and has very limited space remaining for this year’s event.

Tee times start at 8 a.m. and at 1:30 p.m. with the Mama Mia and Papa Pia dressed to the nines in Italian apparel of their choosing, followed by the meatball explosion off the tee box.

If you don’t feel like hitting the links, feel free to sign up for the social, food and drink at the clubhouse, by calling 228-452-4851.

This year’s Grand Marshal is Jay Lang and the Mama Mia is Cathy Tully.
