IP Hotel and Casino announces winners of Wreaths of Hopes competition

Today, the IP Hotel and Casino awarded the winners for their second annual Wreaths of Hope competition.

Eighteen South Mississippi charities decorated wreaths representing their organization that hung along the halls of the casino.

After weeks of voting online for the best decorated wreath, cash rewards went to participants. Thirteen runners-up won $115 each.

The top five charities with the most votes were awarded most of the prize money. IP Casino Resort Director of Operation Herb Gee said, “Community efforts, it’s all about community fundraising. That’s our core value here at Boyd Gaming and we’re certainly proud to continue that tradition no matter if its in this market or any of the markets that we’re in throughout the country.”

Winning back-to-back for the second year in a row, the Humane Society received a $3,000 check.
