IP Casino Donates Big Checks to Local Charities

The IP Hotel and Casino kicked off their annual charitable giving distribution. They will be donating a total of $460,000 to 18 different charity organizations along the Coast. The General Manager of the IP, Duncan McKenzie, presented the checks, and for organizations such as the Gulf Coast Women’s Center for Nonviolence, this donation is more than just a financial contribution.

Sandra Morrison, Director of the Women’s Center for Nonviolence, says, “It also shows that our local businesses really support what the center does and that is that we support and serve victims of violent crime, domestic violence, and sexual assault victims. It also is a stance against violence that’s not okay against women.”

Other charities to receive checks were Feed My Sheep, the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The IP will give additional charitable donations throughout the year.
