Investigation underway after threatening note found at Ingalls Shipbuilding

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)-An investigation is underway after a threatening note was found at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula Thursday morning.

Ingalls Shipbuilding has released a statement regarding the incident.

The statement is as follows: “Earlier today, Ingalls Shipbuilding management discovered a written communication that was perceived as a potential threat. Our team immediately notified local law enforcement and initiated an investigation into the matter. Operations at the shipyard continue as normal, while local law enforcement work to determine the origin of the threat. We are cooperating closely with law enforcement to address this incident with the utmost seriousness and to ensure the safety of our people. “

Ingalls is asking if anyone has any information about who may have written the threatening note to contact the Pascagoula Police Department.
