Introducing our WXXV Student Athlete of the Week, Bay High Soccer’s Kamryn Lafontaine!

School is back in session which means so is our WXXV Student Athlete of the Week segment. We’re starting off the new year strong with a talented young soccer player, but don’t let her age fool you because she’s got a boot. Introducing Bay High soccer’s very own, Kamryn Lafontaine!

The Sophomore striker leads female soccer players on the coast with 25 goals! This comes as no surprise, as she scored 17 goals in just 18 games her freshman season, which helped Bay High earn their first ever State Championship title!

The Lady Tigers are on the right track for a two-peat, currently undefeated in district play with a 10-2-2 record. Lafontaine credits their success to their close bond on and off the field.

When she’s asked about her personal success, Lafontaine’s mind immediately goes to thanking her family. She also went into detail about how she holds herself to a high standard as well. Lafontaine has goals of playing soccer at the next level, and we’re confident she’ll get there!
