Interim CEO gives update on Singing River Health System

Singing River Health System’s Interim CEO Laurin St. Pe shared some of the progress he’s made since he began.

St. Pe hosted a public meeting where he primarily spoke about the recent cyber attack on Singing River Health System.

They are still gathering forensic evidence that will help them create stronger security measures.

Aside from that, the board is reaching for seven percent of economic growth in the hospital. St. Pe said, “The way that we’re planning on doing that is focusing, first most, on quality. We’re going to focus on efficiency. And we’re going to focus on smart growth, making sure it has a return on investment. And most importantly, because you can’t have quality if you don’t have this, and that is focusing on our people. Making sure we’re retaining the best of the best and recruiting the best of the best.”

St. Pe will also be at Moss Point City Hall Wednesday at 9 a.m.
