Integer Technologies celebrates grand opening of Gulf Coast office

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- A defense technology company is expanding its footprint on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, bringing new high-tech jobs to the area.

Integer Technologies celebrated the grand opening of its new office in Gulfport.

The ribbon cutting marked a new chapter for Integer Technologies as the company opened its latest facility.

The new shared workspace created in partnership with the University of Southern Mississippi will serve as a center of excellence for advancing sub-sea capabilities and supporting U.S. Navy operations.

The facility is expected to play a key role in strengthening maritime security while positioning South Mississippi as a hub for cutting-edge technology.

Federal leaders, including Cindy Hyde-Smith and Roger Wicker, were also on hand highlighting the importance of defense innovation along the Gulf Coast.

Leaders say this is just the beginning of what could be a major boost for the Gulf Coast.
