‘Inspiration and Imagination’ Art Exhibit opening at Pascagoula River Auburn Center

On Saturday, Pascagoula River Audubon Center will have an exhibit opening for artist Steve Shepard showcasing his Inspiration and Imagination Art.

Shepard’s art showcases eclectic, colorful, and complex artwork that conveys a visionary language of deep ecology inspired by the natural history of the Gulf of Mexico.

An exhibit of his work will be on display in the Moss Point Fine Art Gallery inside the Audubon Center until March 7th. Shepard said, “A lot of time, they are rather illogical. Generally, I just am looking for imagery to make the work interesting. I also like bright colors. So, it’s a work out of the mind based on where we live.”

The artist reception will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The exhibit is open during regular operating hours at the center.
