Inkin’ The Coast takes over the Coast Convention Center for the weekend

On Friday, the Mississippi Coast Convention Center turned into a tattoo lover’s paradise as the 13th annual, Inkin’ The Coast, makes its way to Biloxi.

Hundreds of artists from across the United States and even other parts of the world have convened at the Coast Convention Center to show off their best art and tattoos. Along with the tattoos, artists were showing off their paintings, jewelry, clothing brands, as well as a variety of other merchandise.

Even if tattoos aren’t really your thing, the host of Inkin’ The Coast, Dr. Carl Blasphemy, believes it is an environment which should be experienced by everyone.

“Just come in with an open mind and a smile and you’ll have a great time. You’ll find that everybody here is inviting. You can come up and look at the artwork that’s on the table, check through their books. You don’t have to get tattooed, there’s temporary tattoos and face painting for the kids.”

For North Carolina based tattoo artist, Zac Cirocco, he encourages South Mississippi to come and experience the unique atmosphere which the festival offers.

“We have so much good stuff and nice people. It’s not just tattoos, we got all kinds of oddities for sale and different types of stuff. If you do decide that you want a tattoo there are plenty of amazing artists here.”

Inkin’ the Coast will continue throughout the rest of the weekend at the Mississippi Coast Convention Center.
