Injuries reported after truck drove over the Pascagoula River Bridge

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Now to an update on the truck that had driven over the edge of the bridge near the Pascagoula River earlier Monday night.

According to Jackson County Fire, Gautier, and Moss Point fire departments also assisted. Crews with Jackson County deployed a rescue boat where they discovered the driver had sustained minor injuries.

This accident caused major delays on Monday. Landon Orozco with Mississippi Highway Patrol said one other vehicle was involved in that accident.

The driver of the truck sustained minor injures while the driver of the other vehicle suffered serious injuries.

Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
