Injured Sailor Makes Progress

The Gulfport Sailor shocked in a boating accident last month makes major strides in his recovery.
John Harrison Doucet surprised doctors and family members when he raised his left arm over the weekend. This progress comes after a week of battling a 102 degree fever and infections from the third and fourth degree burns covering 80 percent of his body.
The 20-year-old lost both of his legs and his right arm because of the severe burns. He remains in guarded condition at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia.
