Ingalls worker dies following accident last Wednesday
A heartbreaking update on the Ingalls worker who was injured on the job last week. Randy Wade, a tank tester at the Pascagoula shipyard, has died from his injuries.
A spokesperson from the shipyard confirmed the news for us, along with our media partner the Sun Herald.
Wade was critically injured last Wednesday.
His wife, Robin, posted on Facebook that he died at 1:06 p.m. Tuesday. “He went peacefully and he was not in pain,” said wrote.
Wade had previously been transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson with a severe brain injury.
His family, friends, and community members held a prayer rally for him on Sunday afternoon outside Mosaic Church in Ocean Springs.
