Ingalls Shipbuilding hosts signing day for Shipbuilder Academy graduates

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)- Ingalls Shipbuilder Academy marked a major milestone in Pascagoula as high school seniors across the Coast were honored for finishing their training and stepping into the workforce.

Students from across the Coast filled the Pascagoula High School Performing Arts Center to celebrate Ingalls Shipbuilder Academy signing day where seniors were recognized for completing the program and moving into skilled trades.

The program prepares students through hands-on training, mentorship, and classroom instruction, giving them real-world skills to step straight into careers in welding, pipefitting, electrical work, and more.

Since 2016, more than 450 students have graduated from the academy, helping build a stronger local workforce for the Coast.
