Ingalls Shipbuilding hosts 16th annual STEM Grant Award Ceremony
PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)- Ingalls Shipbuilding hosted its 16th annual STEM Grant Award Ceremony on Friday, distributing over $95,000 to 22 schools in South Mississippi and Alabama.
The funding supported hands-on STEM projects, classroom technology upgrades, and an innovated curriculum.
Ingalls leaders said the program helps prepare students for future careers in engineering, shipbuilding, and other STEM-related fields.
Ingalls will also host a two-week summer externship for educators, giving them hands-on experience in shipbuilding to share with their students.
