Ingalls Shipbuilding hiring skilled workers

The largest employer in Mississippi, Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, is looking to fill 500 positions by the end of the year.

Ingalls has been awarded several contracts to build ships for the U.S. military and is looking for skilled people to work on those ships. Positions now being filled include test engineers and first class welders, pipefitters, pipe welders, and ship fitters.

A hiring fair is scheduled for Saturday, August 4th for on-site interviews. It will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Haley Reeves Barbour Maritime Training Academy in Pascagoula.
