Infinity Space Center hosts STEM program at local libraries
Infinity Science Center is taking STEM on the road.
They brought the “NASA is with you when you fly” program to Pass Christian’s library.
For two hours, children six through sixteen had hands-on experience in exploring flight.
Using just paper, tape, and scissors, children created a rocket, helicopter, and shuttle.
Each of these mimicked how the actual vessel would fly…
Ann King works as an educator for the center. She said, “Most of the time when people are thinking science labs, they think it has to be really complicated and involved, but we’ve found that just the simple paper labs are a lot of fun, they hit the basic principles of flight like Bernoulli’s Principal of flight, lift, drag. All of that is working together. ”
