Inaugural Coastfest

Tomorrow, the first ever Coastfest will take place at Beauvoir in Biloxi.

Coastfest is a family-friendly event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be going on underneath the oak trees with the Gulf Coast breeze in Beauvoir’s lawn. Make sure to bring a chair.

There will be live music and vendors set up all day. You can walk around classic cars and chat with the owners or cool off inside the air-conditioned museum to learn about southern military history from the years 1861 to 1865.

Admission for adults will be $20 and children six to 18 can get in for $5. Beauvoir Director of Development and Programs Kitsaa Stevens said, “We are real excited to have a group from Mobile coming that are going to do crafts for kids and that’s all free. It comes with your admission. They will be teaching the kids how to make things from recycled items. Savage Henry will be playing music and we are going to have the Irish dancers. They are almost like a staple here on the Coast. They are a great group of girls.”

Beauvoir officials tell News 25 Coastfest will go on as planned rain or shine.
