IMMS releasing six turtles Thursday

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies is hosting a turtle release Thursday morning.

The location is on the beach across from Edgewater Mall. Six turtles will be sent home starting at 9:30.

Of those six turtles, three will have satellite transmitters to track their movements after release.

If you can’t make it in person, the event will be live streamed on the IMMS Facebook page.
