IMMS names wild dolphin after Dolly Parton
More South Mississippi tributes are pouring in for Dolly Parton in the wake of her death.
The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies announced it has named one of the wild dolphins it monitors in the Mississippi Sound after Dolly.
Dolly has been sporadically sighted by the IMMS monitoring team since 2016 and the organization says they hope this token of appreciation will continue the legacy Dolly Parton left behind.
