BREAKING: Identity Of Taser Victim Released

According to Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove, the 53 year old man who died after being tased by Gulfport police was Bradford Macomber of Gulfport.

On Sunday around 4:30pm, the Gulfport Police Department responded to Shaggy’s Restaurant in reference to a report of an erratic/ disorderly male inside the business.

Upon arrival, officers were given information that the adult male was outside the business. The officers located the described male and attempted to investigate the complaint. At that time, the suspect was resistive resulting in an officer deploying a taser to subdue the suspect who was then arrested. After being handcuffed, the 53 year old suspect continued his erratic behavior resulting in American Medical Response (AMR) being summoned to the scene.

Harrison County District Attorney’s Office and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations have taken over the investigation.
