I-10 at Menge closed overnight Thursday

MDOT says the westbound lanes of I-10 at Menge Avenue will be closed overnight Thursday to affix the lanes of overpass onto the supports.

MDOT says the closure will run from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. to install concrete beams, braces, and safety devices across the westbound lanes.

Traffic will be rerouted using the Menge Avenue exit and entrance ramps. Detour signs will be in place and motorists may want to seek alternate routes.

The closure is subject to change, depending on the construction process and weather conditions. We will keep you updated.

As we’ve reported, the Menge Avenue project should be completed in November. The work is part of the project that is bringing Buc-ee’s to that location later this year.
