Hurricane training exercise at Keesler Air Force Base

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- It’s not hurricane season, but Keesler Air Force Base is preparing ahead of time.

Starting Monday and running until Friday, the base is undergoing a base-wide hurricane exercise.

Officials say to expect traffic diversions, gate delays, and disruptions to on-base services.

The base loudspeaker is also expected to make announcements throughout the week.

This is to test the readiness for the upcoming hurricane season.
