Huntington Learning Center’s Teacher of the Month: Isiah Fredericks Head Start’s Donelda Bolden

Each month, WXXV and Huntington Learning Center team up to honor one Teacher of the Month along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

December’s Teacher of the Month is Donelda Bolden, a pre-k teacher at Isiah Fredericks Head Start Center in Gulfport. She has a passion for teaching and — as evidenced by her joyful and outgoing personality — has left a wonderful impact on hundreds of students.

Bolden was surprised with the award during what she believed was a routine assembly at the school. She was nominated by Amesha Williams.

“[Bolden] is an amazing head start teacher. Definitely teaches from her heart and loves her students. Very outstanding teacher,” Williams wrote in her nomination.
