Humane Society of South Mississippi hosts “Hocus Pok-us” event

The Humane Society of South Mississippi is getting into the spooky spirit by hosting the “Hokus Pokus” free clinic event with special guests the Sanderson sisters.

All animals that came to the event received up-to-date vaccines, microchips, as well as flea and heartworm preventative.

Everyone went home with spay and neuter vouchers that included free booster vaccines, a nail trim, and an ear cleaning.

The Humane Society knows that vet care can be expensive, which is why they offer these free clinics so you can keep your pets healthy.

“We’ve been seeing a lot of virus and disease coming in from our community,” said Bianca Janik, director of operations for HSSM and Winifred Sanderson for the day, “So, the goal is to get our community pets up to date on their vaccines and keep pets out of the shelter environment.”
