Humane Society to host job fair

If you’re in need of a summer job, the purrfect opportunity is waiting for you at the Humane Society of South Mississippi.
Tomorrow, the animal shelter will be hosting a job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Due to a recent influx of dogs and cats, the Humane Society is in need of animal care associates, kennel technicians, vet technicians, and a maintenance assistant.
Candidates should bring a photo ID and a resume. Applications can also be filled out online at hssm.org. Katie King with the Humane Society said, “Right now at the Humane Society, we find ourselves over capacity with over 400 dogs and cats at the shelter. With more animals coming in especially during the summertime, we need more people to help care for these animals. We’re looking for anyone with animal care experience, good customer service skills to help get these animals adopted out.”
The shelter will be closed to the public tomorrow due to the job fair, but reopens Thursday with fee-waived adoptions for all animals.
