Hospitality Job Fair
This morning, the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College gave job seekers a chance to become employed during the Hospitality Industry Job Fair in Gulfport.
Businesses like Chick-Fil-A, McAlister’s, and Biloxi Premiere Lux Cinema were on hand to meet potential employees. They also offered feature seminars like ‘job seeking 101,’ ‘resume writing,’ and ‘interview skills.’
Seven casinos also set up booths seeking part and full-time employees. Director of Hotel Operations at the IP Casino Kris Norton said, “So, the reason we got involved in this career fair is we are hoping maybe we can capture some college people who are just needing some part-time, you know, four hours, five hours a day. So, that’s what we are hoping to capture and maybe hire some good, qualified people.”
The fair lasts until 5, but if you can’t make it to the fair you can still apply for jobs at the IP at www.IPBiloxi.com.
